Steven Lojewski's photographic practice focuses on an exploration of cultural and geographic environments, attempting, through photography, to make sense of his surroundings. He deals with cultural aspects of Australian society, often depicting the mundane and ordinary in an approach which brings together an anthropological interest and an exploration of visual language. His practice is not fixed on fine art expression, but equally sees its role as archiving and recording issues of historical and cultural significance.
